Versioning

How the API, the models and the SDKs change without breaking you.

API: /v1 stays stable. Adding fields to answers or new optional parameters is not a breaking change, so ignore fields you do not know. A breaking change ships as /v2, and /v1 keeps running for at least 12 months after /v2 is released.
Models: the name carries the version, langbiang-extract-1.0. A new minor version (1.1) improves the engine with the same output contract; a new major version (2.0) changes the output and is a new model name you opt into.
SDKs: semantic versioning; the SDK major version follows the API version.

Breaking changes and model deprecations are announced by email to organization owners and in the changelog.
