Who we are
The Montek API, developers.montek.io and api.montek.io are operated by Montek ("we"). Operator: [legal name, address, representative].
Accounts, organizations and projects
Accounts are by invitation and sign in with Google. An organization (a Montek partner) holds members, roles and invoice details; its projects (one per end customer) hold API keys, plans and usage. The organization's owners are responsible for who they invite and for every call made with its keys. Keep keys secret and revoke any key that may have leaked.
Partners and end customers
A partner who serves an end customer through a project must include these terms in its contract with that customer, who accepts them through the partner. The service is presented as "Powered by Montek" unless agreed otherwise in writing. If a partnership ends, its end customers may continue with Montek directly or through another partner.
Acceptable use
Do not send documents you have no right to process, do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and do not resell raw access in a way that hides who the end customer is from us when we need to know it for legal reasons.
Plans, fees and overage
Plans are per model and project. Montek invoices the organization at the start of each period for its monthly fee, with the usage beyond the included amount in the period that ended at the agreed overage price, up to the cap set for the project. Moving to a higher plan takes effect at once and is invoiced for the rest of the period; a lower plan or a cancellation takes effect at the next period. Prices exclude tax. Invoices are paid by bank transfer by their due date.
Your data
You keep all rights to the documents you send and to the results. We process files only to answer the request, do not store them and do not use them to train models. See the Privacy Policy and the Security & data page of the docs.
Availability
We aim for the availability described in our service levels (99.9% monthly for Standard plans and above). Basic plans have no service level. We may change the API with notice, as described under Versioning in the docs.
Liability
The service reads documents with AI and can be wrong; check results that matter, especially fields marked unsure. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.
Termination
To close an account or an organization, write to contact@montek.io; issued invoices remain due. We may suspend projects or organizations that break these terms or leave invoices unpaid after notice.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan; the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
